BEND, Oregon – Oct. 16, 2020 – At the 17th Annual Bend Venture Conference (BVC), hosted by Economic Development for Central Oregon (EDCO), MustDeliver was chosen today as a winner of the Early Stage Competition, involving startups vying for seed round funding. From a pool of 85 applicants to the BVC, MustDeliver was one of 18 companies that succeeded in making it through the Early Stage Competition First Round, one of 10 making it through the Semi-Finals, one of 5 surviving the Pub Talk round in front of an audience and one of only two companies that ultimately were selected as winners of the Early Stage Competition. In addition, the selection committee decided to increase the winning investment award from the previously advertised $30,000 to $50,000 for each of the Early Stage Competition winners.
In accepting this significant vote of confidence in MustDeliver’s business plan and proof of concept, MustDeliver CEO Carrie Love, who made the pitch for MustDeliver from the stage in downtown Bend, stated, “Getting this validation of our driver-centric freight digital marketplace is gratifying. We are deeply honored and grateful to the EDCO for hosting this competition and selecting MustDeliver.”
From the BVC LinkedIn page, the BVC commented: “A HUGE congratulations to this year’s BVC winners… Thank you to everyone who made this year’s event possible. To all the inspiring companies that took the stage both in-person and virtually. To the attendees who joined us from The Tower Theatre, McMenamins and online. To our amazing speakers. To our loyal sponsors. To the investors and due diligence teams. To the behind-the-scenes volunteers. To the vendors. The list goes on…”
